Help Some Great Chicagoans
Written by Chicago Guys // January 31, 2011 // Charity, Chicago // No comments
There are a couple of really great Chicago folks that are having various struggles at the moment, and I’d like to help share their story here with you guys. If you are able to help them, I know they will be very grateful.
Save Jason’s Mom
My friend Jason’s mom has been suffering from a number of diseases, such as Scleroderma, Pulmonary Hypertension, and Interstitial Lung Disease. He’s been raising money to help pay for the medical expenses and the response has been pretty incredible, which speaks to the kind of person he is. Check out the site Jason built, SaveJasonsMom.org to learn more and to help.
Send Erini to Design School
While not a health issue, I’d still like to share Erini’s story. She’s a very creative, warm girl that has been a victim of the poor economy and job market, having to recently move back to her parent’s house in Indiana. She is trying to pursue her dreams of becoming a graphic designer, and she recently got accepted to the Chicago Portfolio School for Design, a very big accomplishment. She’s reaching out to her friends and the blogging community to help raise the funds to help cover tuition. Stop by her blog and learn more about her and her attempt to get to design school.
Feel free to share with anyone who might be able to help, thank you.
